Getting started

What is Fantasy Nepal?
Fantasy Nepal is a free fantasy cricket game for the Nepal Premier League. You build a squad of real NPL players, pick your starting XI with a captain and vice-captain, and earn points from what those players do in real matches. Your points add up over the season on a leaderboard shared by fans across Nepal.
Is it really free? Can I win money?
Yes, it is 100% free. There are no entry fees, no paid contests, no cash or prizes and no in-app purchases. Points and ranks are for bragging rights only, have no money value and cannot be exchanged for anything. Fantasy Nepal is not a betting or gambling service.
How do I start playing?
Download Fantasy Nepal from Google Play, sign in with your Google account, then build your 15-player season squad within 130 credits. Pick your XI, choose a captain and vice-captain, and you are in. Your team then plays every match automatically.
Which phones does it work on?
Fantasy Nepal is available for Android phones on Google Play. It supports light and dark themes and works well on small and large screens.
Do I need an account?
You can look around fixtures, squads and the points table without an account. To build a squad and appear on the leaderboard you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.

Your squad & XI

How many players do I pick?
You pick one squad of 15 players for the whole season: exactly 2 wicket-keepers, 5 batters, 4 all-rounders and 4 bowlers. The squad must fit within 130 credits, with no more than 7 players from any one franchise.
What are player credits?
Every player has a price between 6 and 10.5 credits, based on his role, record and form. Credits are fixed for the season, so the challenge is to balance big stars with value picks inside your 130-credit budget.
How does the starting XI work?
From your 15, choose 11 to play: 1–2 wicket-keepers, 3–5 batters, 1–4 all-rounders and 3–4 bowlers. Only your XI earns points in a match; the rest wait on the bench and can come in for the next match.
Do I need to make a new team for every match?
No. At each match deadline, your squad's current XI, captain and vice-captain are copied into that match automatically. Change them whenever you like before a deadline and the next match uses the new line-up.
When does my team lock?
Line-ups lock 60 minutes before each match's scheduled start. After that, the XI, captain and vice-captain for that match cannot change; any changes you make count from the next match.
What if a player in my XI does not play?
There are no automatic substitutes. A player who is not in his team's real playing XI scores 0 for that match, so keep an eye on team news and adjust your XI before the deadline.

Transfers

What is a transfer?
A transfer swaps a player in your squad for another one. Before the season's first match locks, every change is free and unlimited. After that, each round (the time until the next match locks) gives you 2 free transfers; every extra one costs 4 points from your season total. You can make up to 5 transfers per round.
Do unused free transfers carry over?
No. Free transfers reset every round, so use them when your squad needs them. The player you bring in takes the outgoing player's place in your XI.

Points & leaderboard

How are points calculated?
The same simple table applies to every role: 4 points for being in the playing XI, 1 per run, +1 bonus per four, +2 bonus per six, 25 per wicket (run-outs excluded), 8 per catch and 10 per stumping or run-out.
How do the captain and vice-captain work?
Your captain earns 2× his points and your vice-captain 1.5×. Choose them from your XI. Picking the right captain is often the biggest decision of the match day.
How does the leaderboard work?
Your season total is the sum of the points your XI scores in every match, minus any transfer penalties. Ranks appear once the first match is scored, and every match after that is a chance to climb.
When are points updated?
Points are added as each match is scored and are final after the match ends. If an official scorecard is corrected later, points may be recalculated so everyone is scored on the same, correct data.
